Inspired by the rich history of the most elegant street in downtown San Francisco, we have created a retro style bar and revived its historical name, Iron Horse.
Originally opened in 1954 as Iron Horse Restaurant by famous Bay Area restaurateur Leo Giorgetti, it was one of the city's top dining and drinking spots for over 20 years, favored by celebrities and political figures, including Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Liberace. Marilyn Monroe and hometown baseball hero, Joe DiMaggio, had their wedding reception here.

“Super cozy bar! If you’d like a dark, intimate setting then come here. I’d suggest going upstairs and grabbing a seat in one of the booths (seats 4). They’re next to a multi color stained Victorian window and they’re pretty neat if you ask me. The service is also fantastic.”
“This may not be a big place, but I will definitely be coming back to pregame with my friends before going out! Cocktails are around $11 and beer is only around $6. Compare that to $14 for cocktails and $8 for beer at most other more upscale places.”
“If you are looking for a hidden hole in the wall bar, this is your place. The bartenders are very nice and friendly. They have a large assortment of liquors and beers. Might be hard to find, just look for the bouncer outside.”
